Dr. O. Erik Smith

Dr. Erik Smith attended the University of Washington, then received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate degrees from Pacific University. He has been in clinical practice since 1977. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, an Expert Examiner for the California State Board of Optometry, a legislative Keyperson for the California Optometric Association, and is a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Optometry. His areas of interest are Occupational Vision and Primary Care. In his "spare time" Dr. Smith teaches a film course and is an avid tennis player.



Dr. Beverly Jue-Smith

Dr. Beverly Smith received her Bachelor of Science degree from U.C.L.A. and her O.D. degree from the University of Houston where she was on the Dean's List. With an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management she is also a private practice development consultant. Her areas of expertise are computer vision analysis, hard to fit contact lenses and refractive surgery co-management. She is a Board member of the Alameda Contra Costa Optometric Society and served as an Expert Examiner for the California State Board of Optometry. She and her husband, Dr. Erik Smith, enjoy having adventures with their two children.



Dr. Ivy K. Sun

Dr. Ivy Sun received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis in 1992, and her Doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1997. She also completed a hospital-based Residency in Primary Care and Low Vision at U. C. Berkeley in 1998. She is a member of the American Optometric Association. Her areas of interest are Primary Care, refractive surgery co-management and pediatric optometry. She and her husband are proud parents of two beautiful little girls.



Dr. Sue A. Ristow-Putnam

Dr. Ristow was class Valedictorian at the Southern California College of Optometry. She also holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Her professional experience includes being a Clinical Research Optometrist with Allergan, Inc., a faculty member at her alma mater, and has been a clinician working with several ophthalmological practices. Her areas of expertise include cornea and contact lenses. Dr. Ristow and her husband are busy parents of three young children, two being a set of adorable twins.



Dr. Nathan S. Orr

Dr. Nathan Orr graduated from UC Davis, then received his O.D. degree from UC Berkeley, where he received an award for most outstanding graduate student in his class. He has been practicing in the Bay Area for several years, is a member of the American Optometic Association, and a board member of the Alameda/Contra Costa Optometric Society. Dr. Orr and his wife are proud parents of two energetic little boys. In his free time, Dr. Orr enjoys woodworking, roller hockey, and rooting for the Sharks.
