Dr. O. Erik Smith, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Smith attended the University of Washington, then received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate degrees from Pacific University. He has been in clinical practice since 1977. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, an Expert Examiner for the California State Board of Optometry, a legislative Keyperson for the California Optometric Association, and is a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Optometry. His areas of interest are Occupational Vision and Primary Care. In his "spare time" Dr. Smith serves in his church, Cornerstone Fellowship, teaches a film course, and is an avid tennis player.


Dr. Beverly Jue-Smith, O.D., M.B.A.

Dr. Jue-Smith received her Bachelor of Science degree from U.C.L.A. and her O.D. degree from the University of Houston where she was on the Dean's List. With an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management she is also a private practice development consultant. Her areas of interest are computer vision analysis, hard to fit contact lenses and refractive surgery co-management. She has served as a Board member of the Alameda Contra Costa Optometric Society and as an Examiner for the California State Board of Optometry. Dr. Jue-Smith has volunteered her services at local schools as well as abroad in Nairobi, Kenya. She and her husband, Dr. Erik Smith, enjoy travel and sports with their two children.


Dr. Ivy K. Sun, O.D.

Dr. Sun received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis, and her Doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry. She also completed a hospital-based Residency in Primary Care and Low Vision at U. C. Berkeley. Her areas of interest are Primary Care, refractive surgery co-management and pediatric optometry. She and her husband are proud parents of two beautiful little girls.


Dr. Sue A. Ristow, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Ristow was class Valedictorian at the Southern California College of Optometry. She also holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Her professional experience includes being a Clinical Research Optometrist with Allergan, Inc., a faculty member at her alma mater, and has been a clinician working with several ophthalmological practices. Her areas of interest include cornea and contact lenses. Dr. Ristow and her husband are busy parents of three young children, two being a set of adorable twins. You will most likely see her at several local youth sports events.


Dr. Victoria E. Chiu, O.D.

Dr. Victoria Chiu was born and raised in the Bay Area. She attended the University of California, Berkeley where she obtained  bachelor’s degrees in both Integrative Biology and Public Health. After completing a year-long service term as an Americorps VISTA in the East Bay, she returned to UC Berkeley where received her Doctor of Optometry degree.  Dr. Chiu is certified to treat glaucoma and many other eye conditions. Her areas of interest are primary care and ophthalmic optics/eyewear. Dr. Chiu is also a clinical instructor at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry.  She continues to promote philanthropic efforts as a board member for VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity) California. In her free time, Dr. Chiu enjoys SLR photography, scrapbooking, and exploring new restaurants. 


Our Managers

With over 10 years of optical experience, our Optical Manager Noy (left) leads our optical team with a focus on customer service, knowledge of the latest technology, and skill to ensure our patients receive exceptional service and optical products. 

Stephanie (right), our Front Office Manager, brings over 5 years of financial and merchandising background experience to our practice giving the attention to detail, caring and personal experience our patients deserve.

Our opticians (L to R: Gerald, Charlotte, Trish, Whittney, Noy, and R.G)  keep up to date with the latest technology in lenses and frame styles.  They are always eager to help you find the ideal frame style and address your optical needs, adjust and repair your glasses and dispensing your prescription eyewear.
