With this new and cutting edge technology, doctors at San Ramon Family Optometry, Inc will be able to evaluate different layers of the retina and be able to diagnose and manage optic nerve and macular conditions even more effectively. Some common conditions the OCT is used to detect and monitor are glaucoma, macular degeneration and changes due to diabetes.
